Workers at the Woolies Warehouse in Warnervale planned to take 24 hours strike action. But in response, Woolies locked them out! That means workers weren't expecting to have to go so long without pay. But they are determined to continue fighting to win fair wages and conditions.

About our campaign
Workers at the Warnervale distribution centre on the Central Coast of NSW are demanding pay parity with workers who do the exact same job, for the same company, less than 2 hours away in Sydney.
Workers at the Woolworths Warnervale warehouse in NSW are paid up to 16% less on some levels compared to their counterparts working at Sydney based distribution centres.
Workers also want an end to Woolworth’s unsafe pick rates and insecure work which leaves many worrying week to week if they will be able to support their family. Woolworths has been using the unsafe pick rates to discipline workers or as a basis on which to refuse permanent jobs.
Woolworths has made mega profits due to the pandemic. Woolworth Warnervale warehouse staff have moved more during the pandemic than the last three consecutive record breaking Christmas periods, helping the company achieve record growth and profits.
Now they want to be paid equally to workers in the big city.
The funds here will be used to help fund over 500 $200 valued gift cards distributed on site at the Woolworths Wyong RDC to union members who participated in the strike action to help them cover the period that they went unpaid during the lockout. The gift cards can be used to purchase food, groceries and other necessary household items to support the members and their families during this period.
