Mid August Wyland went from having a bad cough to finding a cancerous mass in his chest. He spent a week at Mott Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor. Wyland had a lot of tests and started a 28 day chemo induction plan Wednesday August 21st. Wyland has been diagnosed with T Cell Lymphoma. We have started to and will go weekly, sometimes twice a week in the next few weeks for more chemo and tests. He has a long road ahead of him and he is a fighter.

Wyland needed more aggressive chemo that started the end of September. Currently Wyland is inpatient at Motts, suffering from spiked fevers. Almost daily Wyland has had to have platelet or blood transfusions. He has been hospitalized since December 8th and his counts are NOT improving. He continues to be on IV antibiotics and other medications. He is the only four year old I know who prefers to swallow pills over taking liquid medication. He is so strong but even superheroes get tired and upset.
The family is traveling out of State for treatments, they need your help with this cost. Wyland has 2 older siblings attending MCS and are both active in school and extracurricular activities, they need your help! Mom Jill has recently lost her job due to caring for Wyland, Dad Rob is working through treatments , but not the full-time status the family relies on financially. The Hawk family is looking for some additional support to help with covering the day to day cost of living and to help with travel and the care being provided for Wyland.
Jill and Rob both asked me to thank all of you for your generosity you have shown and please know that the entire family is grateful. Thank you in advance for helping the family tackle this new goal to help Wyland and his family focus on treatments and taking care of the entire family.
