Please help our newborn Lorenzo

On December 1, 2017, Lorenzo was born as what we thought as a normal healthy baby boy. He was born at 39 weeks due to my pre eclampsia. He was born at 2:48 am at 7 pounds 1.6 ounces and 20 inches long, via c-section. Within 36 hours of being born, and losing weight and having a large amount of mucous and unable to keep milk down, he was diagnosed with esophageal atresia. On December 2, 2017 he was brought to children’s medical hospital and IV nutrition was started. He was placed under lights as his bilirubin was elevated . On December 4, 2017 he underwent surgery to connect his esophagus to his stomach and fix the fistula to his airway. He was placed on a ventilator along with a central line in his chest and a chest tube. He also had an NG tube placed. Since that time he has tried to be taken off of the ventilator twice. Without the ventilator, he has had difficulty breathing and developed strider and therefore is unable to be without the ventilator. He went for further testing and was found to have tracheal Malaysia. Due to the complications, he must remain at the Children’s Hospital until he is able to breathe on his own and nurse without issues. Both my husband and I continue to see him every day. Neither of us are able to work as we have to be able to go to the hospital with any complications he may encounter. This has happened several times through out his stay. At this time neither of us are working. My husband has taken a leave of absence in order to care for both my son and myself and is not able to be paid for his time off. I had a C-section and was discharged within 36 hours so that I could be with my son, and until recently I was in severe pain and needed to have my husband take on most responsibilities . We are not the type of people to ask for help, but due to bills continuing to add up, we are just looking for help to get us caught up for the month. This will ensure that we can be there for son and not have to worry about a place to live or how to get to the hospital Or worry about what we are going to eat. Any help will go directly towards paying for food, gas, rent, current bills. Thank you for your time. And God bless.
