Hello,
my name is Naomi Alseth. I am 18 years old and just like you I've been chosen by the loving Father above. Unlike some of you, He has called me to go and work with kids all over the world. Everyone has their calling and I've finally picked up the phone.
I have spent the last 6 years working with kids everywhere I went. I started teaching a Sunday School class for 4 years. It was a lot of fun, especially since I knew those kids since they were babies. God put me there and now He is moving me elsewhere. It's hard to say goodbye to my Sunday schools kids, but they are in good hands.
It all really started when I was the counselor to this wonderful girl. I can't put her name just for safety reasons. She had been through all the horrible stuff you can imagine and she was still fighting strong. From foster home to foster home,it was hard to love her, I knew the reason why, but I loved her anyway. To hurtful words and lots of fits of rage, I saw past it all. I realized that God put me in this girls life, but He also put her in my life. I didn't think she loved me, or let alone cared by the end of the week. But... I later found out that she asked for me right away as soon as she went to her next camp and when she went to school. I fell in love with this ministry because of her. She is my inspiration(and of course God)
I now volunteer for a camp that works with these wonderful kids called Royal Family. When I say these kids, I mean kids who are being abused. It's a heartbreaking ministry, but it's also addicting and wonderful. This is why I am taking a year to go and work with kids all over the world who have been abused. God has given me the gift to work with these kids and now I'm returning His favor by being His hands and feet and going to teach them about this amazing Father who loves them.
I do need help getting to where God wants me to go.. So all I ask is that you either donate or just pray for me and these kids. It's not easy, but it's worth it. If you have any questions or want to know more please do talk to me. I'll be keeping you all updated as I go where God told me to go
