At the end of June, Lisa went in for a colonoscopy and received the difficult news that they discovered cancerous tumors. She has been diagnosed with Stage III colon cancer and has since been through a whirlwind of doctor appointments, tests and begun chemo/radiation treatment. This has impacted her ability to go to work and has increased her medical and daily life expenses. Through it all she is greeting each day with positivity and hope that treatment will be successful in eradicating the tumors. As a single parent this diagnosis brings with it an elevated level of worry and she is committed to doing anything possible to ensure that she will heal and be present for her kids for years to come.
