Hi everyone!

My name is Ariyan Cox, also known as Nikki to some. I am a junior at Sewanee: The University of the South studying Psychology with a pre-med concentration. I have been working hard to attain my dream of becoming a pediatrician. A few days ago, I got the very exciting news that I have been selected as one of many students to study abroad in Europe through a world-class pre-med internship program called The Atlantis Project! Specifically, I will have the opportunity to intern in Terceira Island, Portugal. The program lasts for 5 weeks and I will be leaving in mid-June. While abroad, I will have the amazing opportunity to work with physicians in the hospitals as well as teach English to the natives. Being involved with the Atlantis Project will allow me the opportunity to grow both scholarly and professionally. 

While the prospect of participating in this program is very promising, the cost of this internship is very expensive. I have been actively seeking sponsorship and support. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity and I would hate to miss out on the privilege of participating. Your help would assist me with covering the costs of travel, orientation, my arrival packages, hospital placement coordination, local staff support at the host site, housing accommodations, meals, weekly half-day and full-day group excursions, transport to/from hospital, and international health insurance. I really hope and pray that you all will help me be a part of this amazing opportunity. This internship will really benefit me when it comes to applying to medical schools in the near future. Anything you are able to give will be a huge help!
