Karen’s Care
Donation protected
In February 2021, Dr. Karen Dean-St. Cyr, the backbone of her family and the heart of her community was officially diagnosed with cancer for the third time in her life. Because of her courageous personality and strong faith, hearing this new diagnosis did not shake Karen one bit. While family and friends shed tears when they heard the news, Karen remained steady and fearless.
During her first two battles with breast cancer, Karen was able to live life normally while undergoing treatment. Because of her warrior-like strength and selfless qualities, many persons were unaware of her diagnosis. Regardless of what she was going through, taking care of others has always been the most important thing to Karen. If you know her personally, you know this fact to not only be true but also incredibly genuine. No matter what storm Karen is facing, her top priority is to care for as many people as she can.
Unfortunately, the third time around is a much different experience. Our beloved Karen is currently suffering from a bleeding stomach tumor, a low blood count that continues to decrease, kidneys that are on the verge of failing, and many other complications. Karen expresses that she wants to fight and live on a daily basis and time is running out.
As a mother, wife, friend, sister, innovative science and technology educator of The Bahamas holding international influence, alumni of The Government High, public servant of Ministry of Education, faithful member of Trinity Assembly, and so much more, we do not believe that this chapter is the last in Karen’s book.
All donations received will be used for the medical expenses and care of Dr. Karen Dean-St.Cyr. Whether you decide to join us in the fight by donating, sharing a link, or saying a prayer, we the family and friends of Dr. Karen Dean-St. Cyr humbly thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
