Our beloved tripawd, Mickey needs surgery! If you've ever met Mickey, you know he's a gentle spirit who always tries to hide his pain. But right now, his pain is severe enough that we had to bring him to the emergency vet overnight. His treatment requires surgery to remove his enlarged spleen and gallbladder, which are currently in critical condition.
We're raising funds to cover the cost of the surgery, his medications, labs, and x-rays.
Mickey's story:
The shelter originally found Mickey limping through streets of Tijuana. His front right leg was mangled and badly infected from a dog bite, and he was in rough *ruff* shape himself. But the fighter in him kicked in, and he made it out with 3 legs to spare. We rescued him right after the amputation, and he's been with us for the past 6 years. When we first met him, he was still timid, shy, and scared of people. Over the years, he's grown out of his shell. He loves stuffed animals, rubbing up on bushes, and napping. Our goal was always to give him the best, most peaceful life possible, especially after all he'd been through.
We're asking for assistance to get him the help he needs to live out his years pain-free. Any help at all is appreciated!!! If you cannot donate, that is okay! Please share the link and help spread the word.
Thank you for your care and support & we appreciate your help in getting Mickey better.
