On January 19th, 2026, our 3-year-old son underwent a liver transplant at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. We had to leave our home in Alabama and travel to Pittsburgh for this life-saving procedure, and we are now facing an extended stay of over four months while he recovers. Being far from home has brought many challenges, but our son is healing well after his surgery. He still needs three more rounds of chemotherapy before we can return to Alabama, but he is already sitting up and being his typical rambunctious self. Our biggest hope is that he continues to do well in his healing and that we can go home with a 'cancer free' diagnosis.

The financial strain of being away from home is significant. We are asking for help with the cost of groceries and essentials during our time in Pittsburgh, as well as the cost of flights for my husband to visit us. My husband is a hardworking man, and we still have to worry about bills back home even while we are away. Your support will help ease the stress of these expenses so we can focus on our son's recovery and being together as a family. Any support will help with groceries for myself and Wyatt during these 4+ months and go towards travel cost so my husband can come visit a few times while we are gone.
