Wyatt Lee went into sudden cardiac arrest on 3/8/16, the month before his third birthday. He was revived and taken to the hospital by paramedics. After a series of tests and meetings with the cardiologist at Palms West, the decision was made to airlift Wyatt to Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital where they kept him stable for over a week to let him heal and rest before gathering a team of people to help Wyatt have a more conclusive MRI. He has been diagnosed with catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular tachycardia (CPVT). CPVT is a condition characterized by an abnormal heart rhythm (arrhythmia). As the heart rate increases in response to physical activity or emotional stress, it can trigger an abnormally fast and irregular heartbeat called ventricular tachycardia. Episodes of ventricular tachycardia can cause light-headedness, dizziness, and fainting (syncope), or even cardiac arrest. The MRI has revealed that Wyatt's brain is severely damaged as a result of his cardiac arrest. His condition is very serious at this time and his future is uncertain. Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family, and we are still raising money to help them in this time of need.
We love you, little cowboy. <3
