We are raising money to go towards funeral and burial costs of our son Wyatt.
He was born at 29+4 weeks due to the cord wrapped round his neck and reduced movements on 9th October 2024 he was moved to the NICU on a ventilator and multiple medications to keep him stable.
Shortly after he became severely unwell with a severe infection and sepsis, he had started to get better but the doctors found out that his liver was 50% necrotised and other organs were not functioning as they should do which caused a multitude of issues for Wyatt. One of his lungs filled with fluid that couldn’t be drained effectively and his stomach had perforated he also had a grade 4 brain bleed. With his other organs not functioning there was nothing they could do further to prevent his decline and he died on the 10th November peacefully, leaving us, our daughter and family members devastated.
We will be putting this money towards a burial plot, headstone and other funeral costs and with any left over then we will be making donations to the following organisations that massively supported us during our NICU stay with Wyatt in memory of him.
Arrowe Park NICU - Drs and Nurses gave us a month and a day with our little man that we wouldn’t have had if it hadn’t been for their attentive care and support of Wyatt and ourselves. They went above and beyond and became emotionally invested in our family.
Ronald McDonald House Arrowe Park - gave us free accommodation and support just upstairs from the NICU so we were always close and in the same building as our son which was important for emergencies of which there were many.
The Butterfly Suite on labour ward Arrowe park - The specialist room that Wyatt passed in which was made for babies that are born sleeping or are passing, they rely on donations of snacks, clothes, toiletries and anything to help support families during grieving and time spent with their babies in the cold cot after passing.
We appreciate any kind of donation and thank you all for your support to give Wyatt the send off he deserves and to support other babies that are sick and have life threatening conditions in Wyatt’s memory.
Thank you.
In loving Memory of Wyatt 09.10.24- 10.11.24
