Help Wyatt Fight It!

Hello,
My name is Wyatt Greene.  I am 8 years old. I like to go to school (except waking up early in the morning) and next year, I will be in 3rd grade.  I have two sisters, Delaney 10, and Violet 7 who call me “Bubba”.  My mom, Dominique, and my dad, Eric love me very much…they call me “Bubba” too.  We moved to Brunswick Georgia in 2016.  I like to ride my bike, play at the park, read books, and learn about all kinds of different animals.  My dad says that I know more about animals than him, or anyone he knows.  I like to watch videos on my iPad, and play games on the Xbox.  My favorite movie(s) is Cars-3, Cars-1, and Cars-2.  Our apartment has a pool, and we have fun swimming.  Sometimes, we go to the beach, and that is a lot of fun too.

Earlier this year in March, my mom and dad found a bump on my leg (right thigh) and took me to the doctor.  The Doctors did many tests with big machines that were very scary, and poked me with needles and shots.  I do not like to get shots!  The bump on my leg grew to the size of a baseball, but it did not hurt much.  The doctors told my mom and dad that I have cancer.  The doctor said the short name is ELS, which stands for Ewing Like Sarcoma(BCOR-CCNB3 Round Cell Sarcoma). We have been going to the Hospital down in Jacksonville, Florida a lot.  Sometimes we are there for one day.  Sometimes for 3 – 4 days, and sometimes a whole week.  The doctors put a tube in my chest called a port.  They give me powerful medicine that makes me feel terrible and sick.  My dad says that it must be powerful so that it will stop the cancer. Most all of my hair fell out, but that is ok, because now I get to wear hats. My mom says that in a few weeks when the medicine shrinks my bump, the doctors will put me to sleep, and take it out.  The doctors said that I will still have to take the medicine for a long time after, 23 more weeks.

One-time last year at school, I put pencil erasers in both of my ears, and they got stuck way down in.  I had to go to the doctor so that he could take them out.  My dad was not too happy that I put them in there.  He said it cost a lot of money to get them out, but he was glad that they are out.  At least I did not swallow rocks like Delaney did when she was 4, or swallow a nickel like Violet.  Mom took her to the airport metal detector, but we found out that violet was playing a trick on us…very funny Violet.

I asked my dad if the cancer would cost more than the pencil erasers.  He said yes.  I told my dad that I would do chores to help pay for the cancer.  He told me that was his job, and my job is to take the medicine to get better.

Some of my mom’s and dad’s friends, family, and coworkers told them that they should start this Go Fund Me project to help with the bills to pay the doctors and the hospital.  It would be nice if I could borrow some money from you to help my mom and dad pay for the cancer medicine.  I think that if anyone could send a quarter or a dollar that would be a lot.  Pennies, nickels, and dimes would be good too.

I promise to write you with more stories, post new pictures, and tell everyone how I am doing very soon.

Thank you very much,
Wyatt Axel Greene
