Wyatt Academy is a community-centered elementary school in the Cole neighborhood of Denver. Serving the immediate neighborhood since we reopened in 1998 (but standing tall since 1898!), Wyatt Academy is a staple in the community as both an institution of learning and a hub of community resources. We are a Title I school in which 96% of our scholars qualify for free and reduced lunch. We offer a plethora of wraparound services including a no cost Community Resource center consisting of a Natural Food Pantry, a Clothing Swap, Laundromat, and Computer Lab. Our mission is to prepare our scholars for middle, high school, college, and beyond.
We are a community that truly values and honors the cultures of our students and their families. We are culturally responsive educators with access to extensive training opportunities to further the development of our cultural competency and trauma-informed teaching. We create a school climate that makes all scholars feel welcome, safe, and excited to learn.
This year, Wyatt Academy will offer a wonderful Science program that will allow our scholars to develop a sense of wonder and exploration! Our scholars need the materials to be involved in a rigorous science curriculum. They will give all students from K through 5th opportunities to do science investigations. We need help purchasing the materials we need to implement a Full Option Science System (FOSS) program.
In order to begin our first round of explorations, we need your help! Please consider donating to help develop a world class Wyatt Academy K-5 Science Program!
