Saving my best friend :Lincoln’s emergency surgery

Hi, my name is Skyla Martínez . If many of you even slightly know me, you know that Lincoln is  my world. In some of my darkest days, he has been one of the things that have kept me going.

Linc came into my life in 2015 when he was just a small puppy. He has been such a happy and healthy dog, bringing joy into my life everyday since. Unfortunately, this past month, Lincoln had lost a significant amount of weight and hasn’t been himself. I took him to the vet and he tested positive for Pancreatitis in which he was then treated and prescribed meds. A few days later,  he started to show a slight increase in his behavior/moods and I was feeling hopeful but within days he was feeling sick again. He stopped eating all together and was inactive. He wasn’t his normal playful, spunky, and hungry self. He refused food, playtime and just wanted to sleep.



Yesterday, I took him to the E.R and had a sonogram done he then was diagnosed with an object stuck in his small intestine. He needs emergency surgery!!! The procedure consist of them opening him up and removing It.



As those of you who know me personally, know that I was recently laid off from my pastry position at NYU and as we all know it’s been a difficult year. Never did I imagine being in a position during a pandemic, laid off with this unexpected surgery.



I’ve always had a wellness plan for Lincoln and continued his payments during this whole pandemic but unfortunately due to the severity of his sickness,surgery isn’t included in his plan. The cost of the surgery is far beyond my budget and Linc and I are kindly asking for any help we can get and accepting any donations towards his medical bill.



To my friends, family, friends of friends and new found friends extending a hand in helping fund Lincoln’s surgery, thank you! Linc and I will have you in our warm hearts forever. I don’t want to lose my boy. Any help is appreciated, even a prayer.


To pay off his medical bill. I have applied

for a loan but due to covid delays, I am still awaiting pending status. For those of you who have or are donating, we love you and from the bottom of our hearts, we are forever grateful.
