Join the fight to save irreplaceable United States Marine Corps memorabilia. The Women of the Corps Foundation (WCF), a 501c3 non-profit corporation, seeks your help. WCF has a mission to provide financial support to the Women of the Corps Collection, a premier history project.
For nearly 100 years, women Marines have had the backs of their brothers in the Corps. For only a dozen years, the women have gently gathered and preserved the memorabilia of all women Marines beginning with the first who joined the Corps in 1918.
This magnificent collection of uniforms, patches, insignia, helmets, photos and much more, constitutes a unique portion of American military history and may soon be lost unless funds can be raised to pay the costs to move it safely to a permanent location.
Now this collection, often exhibited in prestigious museums and military celebrations, needs a permanent home. Over 300,000 items are maintained in a storage unit where the rental costs have risen just as many former Marine donors of the WWII era are leaving us. The storage facility we are currently using threatens us every month with seizing and selling the collection. We are seeking safer storage and eventually a permanent facility from which to display the collection for the education of the public. Until we can afford our own museum, we need your help to ensure the Collection is not held hostage by the storage company.
All amounts are needed—from a few bucks to thousands. This collection needs rescue. It is a fight we can’t afford to lose. And we appreciate your assistance in this vital mission.
The Women Marine Association (WMA) who owns the collection has given WCF responsibility for daily operating expenses and operational control. The current size of the collection requires focused attention for its maintenance and WMA provides such attention througha Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with WCF.

Update 31 January 2016:
The Women Marines Association (WMA) stands by the Women of the Corps Foundation (WCF) as was approved by our Board of Directors in a Memorandum of Understanding between WMA and WCF.
As President of WMA, I'm confirming the legitimacy of the WCF and it's mission as a non-profit to financially support the upkeep if the Women of the Corps Collection. As a lifetime member of WMA, I'm stepping up with my individual donation to support Colonel Sara Phoenix as she leads the endeavors with the WCF Board to ensure this collection is stored and maintained as a part of Marine Corps history and a treasure available to all (today, tomorrow, and for future generations) who love the eagle, globe and anchor.
Stand with me and show your support!
