Tough times make tough people. That statement rings more true the more life I see. There aren’t many people I’ve came across tougher than my dad. This guy has seen a lot, he’s done a lot, and he’s survived a lot. Now is another time in his life he gets to show up and show the world just how tough he is. This past week he was diagnosed with Intrahepatic Cholangiocarcinoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer that he will be battling head-on over the next few months. My parents are incredible people and have blessed so many over the years and now I’d love if we could do a tiny bit to make this fight easier. My dad will have a good portion of his liver removed on April 16th, he will have a week long stay in Kalamazoo afterward and then he will start his journey with Chemo shortly after. I’d love for my parents not to worry about much else other than the fight with this disease so I’m asking for something my parents never would. I’m asking for a donation to take some of the burden off their shoulders while my mother takes time off work to fight right beside my dad. Whatever this generates will go to my parents to help cover my dads PET scan (that is coming out of pocket due to getting this scan done out of network from insurance because all Bronson hospitals are *unable* to complete this before his surgeon needs to operate), medical supplies for home use and things to generally make being in the hospital for long stretches easier for the both of them. Thank you for reading and considering. My dad is a God-loving man who has devoted his life to God and his family so if donations aren’t an option right now, please consider adding him to your prayer list.
