This is Gina’s story:
In January, she had her third rotator/bicep repair surgery. In April, her third lower back surgery, in July, a total hip replacement.
Since hip surgery, she has been coming along just fine. She was finally starting to be able to leave the walker for short distances, but it was a big deal for her!
Fast forward to September 9th, she finally went back to work for her daughter, babysitting three children. The neighbors dog came onto the property and all of our three dogs were outside. Very sweet dogs but very protective of their property. All of the dogs began fighting. Her two grandsons, without even thinking of how bad it could've turned out ran to try to separate them. Gina then got in her car and drove to the middle of the yard, which is huge, she was beeping and yelling, hoping it would break them up. She was parked right beside them, attempted to get out, her left foot went into a hole as soon as it hit the ground, her leg buckled and down she fell right into the pile of fighting dogs. Ryan, her oldest grandson called 911, and a sheriff, rescue squad and animal control were all there within minutes.
They picked her up and put her on a stretcher, to the hospital. Now she has a broken arm and wrist, and a broken fibula, tibia and patella. All will need to be repaired surgically! As of now, they're looking at surgery being on September 18. If you know Gina you’d know she would do absolutely any and everything for the people she loves and cares for. You may not know that her husband, Bo Wallace was just let go from the company he worked for, for over 30 years because they closed the doors. Bo is now trying to start his own business and is the only income in the home. This will be a long, long road to recovery for Gina and a huge adjustment for her and for Bo. I have been sitting with her at the hospital as much as possible so Bo is able to go to work to keep paying the bills.
I put this go fund me together to help her and Bo. So they can focus on her recovery without the worry and stress of bills on top of it all. If you can donate anything to help with her medical bills, or their home bills it would be appreciated more than you will ever know. If you cannot donate financially please say a prayer for Gina, as we navigate this difficult time. She is one of the toughest women I have ever known, and has been through more than anyone should ever have to go through. She is a fighter, and this will only make her stronger in the long run! Thank you for your love, prayers, and support during this time ❤️
