Ciao a tutti,

mi chiamo Daria e oggi vi scrivo con il cuore in mano per chiedervi un aiuto urgente per la mia amata gattina Bella, che ha 14 anni ed è con me da quando era una cucciola ed io una bambina. L’abbiamo trovata anni fa sotto la pioggia, infreddolita e malconcia. Da quel giorno è diventata parte della nostra famiglia. Le abbiamo sempre dato tutto l’amore possibile e l’abbiamo curata con ogni mezzo possibile. Ora, però, vista anche la condizione di mia mamma, non ce la facciamo da sole.

Mentre la mia mamma era a Bologna per affrontare un trapianto renale, abbiamo scoperto che anche Bella sta molto male. Dopo alcuni giorni in cui non mangiava, non beveva e non rispondeva più agli stimoli, oggi ci hanno dato la diagnosi: diabete scompensato, a uno stadio critico. La sua temperatura corporea è scesa a 35°C e le sue condizioni sono gravissime.

I veterinari hanno deciso il ricovero immediato per almeno tre giorni, durante i quali dovrà fare (esclusi altri trattamenti e approfondimenti che dovrà fare se si scoprirà che oltre al diabete ha qualche altra malattia):

•⁠ ⁠Radiografie

•⁠ ⁠Monitoraggi continui

•⁠ ⁠Terapie per stabilizzarla

Il preventivo per il ricovero è di 729,00 €.

Siamo riuscite a pagare la metà, di 360,00 €, ma non abbiamo modo di affrontare i restanti 369,00 €, né le eventuali spese successive. Io sono una ragazza di 22 anni, studio e lavoro, ma con mia madre appena uscita dall’ospedale e le spese che si accumulano, non riesco a far fronte a tutto, da sola non ce la faccio.

my name is Daria and today I wanted to write this message from the bottom of my heart to ask for urgent help for my beloved cat Bella. She’s 14 years old and has been with me since she was a kitten and I was a little girl. We found her years ago under the rain, she was cold and hurt. Since that day we gave her all the love and care possible. But now, considering my mom’s conditions, we can’t do it alone anymore.

While my mum was in Bologna undergoing a kidney transplant, we discovered that Bella was extremely ill. After a few days of not eating, drinking and not responding to stimuli, today we were given a diagnosis: diabetes in an extremely critical stage. her body temperature dropped to 35°C (95°F) and here conditions are getting worse and worse.

The vets decided for immediate hospitalisation for at least 3 days, during which she will have to undergo (not to mention other treatments and checkups that she will have to do in case they discover other illnesses):

⁃ medical analyses, twice a day

⁃ radiation treatments

⁃ continuous monitoring

⁃ therapies to stabilise her

The cost estimate is 729.00€ (816.12$, 614.18£). We managed to pay half of it (369.00€, 413.03$, 310.88£), but we cannot find any way to pay the remaining amount, or even the next payments that we’ll have to face. I am a 22 year old girl, I study and work, but my mother is not able to help considering her condition and the expenses are piling up, so I’m not able to face it all alone anymore.
