Hello, my name is Dmytro. I'm Ukrainian. Alongside everyone else in my country, the 24th of February forever changed my life. My family has been living with a constant threat on their lives for over 7 months (and counting...). However, my family was fortunate enough not to lose anybody. Sadly, this cannot be said about the thousands of other families which have lost their loved ones in the crossfire of a war they did not want or start.
After realizing how lucky we are, my family and I decided that with the ability to do more with our time we’d help those less fortunate. We decided to create our own fund to supply to on-ground charities in Kharkiv (one of the heaviest hit cities) with items like baby food, milk (dry), detergents and soap, hygiene products for women and children, baby diapers, etc. While we are currently only partnered with one of the charities operating in the Kharkiv city center and oblast, we hope that this will be our trial fundraising in order to assist other charities in different cities in the near future.
We, as a family, think that while Ukraine is receiving a considerable amount of aid via a variety of different charitable organizations, a lot of these goods are slow to get to the areas of emergency relief, or the supplies don't even make it there as mercenaries, corruption, and route derail all contribute to "lost" supplies. Hence, why I and my family are organizing a 5 day trip to Poland from Kyiv to purchase the supplies with the raised money and drive back all the way to Kharkiv with the purchased supplies while being as transparent as possible. All receipts, videos from the trips (live feed whenever possible), eventual results when the supplies arrive at the destination, and of course daily updates on the process and media coverage of our beautiful country Ukraine will be posted on working social media platforms.
I am attaching an official document from the charity we have partnered with requesting the supplies. More information will be posted on our social media platforms. Please reach out with any questions/concerns. Let's all help Ukrainian children, mothers, and fathers live a life in peace and prosper! Let's all Stand With Ukraine!
