Brandon O'Neill's Spinal Recovery

Story

Hello Friends and Family-On May 1, 2015 Brandon O'Neill had an accident in which he fractured his C6 and C7 vertebrae in his neck.  His first surgery was May 1 and the 2nd surgery was May 3.  He was in ICU until May 12th when he was moved to the University of Michigan Spinal Rehab Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan.  It has been amazing how his "Can Do" attitude is allowing him to come as far as he has.  The release date from the Rehab Center is tenatively set for July 7th when he will go to our Mom's home and to outpatient physical therapy from there.  The home equipment that is needed, includes specialized ramps for my Mom's home, and several modifications to her home.   In addition, the medical equipment needed include a hospital bed,  a lift, a motarized wheelchair,  and the list goes on and on.   He fortunately has insurance to cover most medical bills, yet the out of pocket expenses upon him coming home can certainly add up especially for the modifications to our mom's home.  Be sure to hug your family and hold them tight to let you know you will always stand by their side through thick and thin!
