My little dachshund puppy has been finally diagnosed with liver shunt. She has what they call a extra hepatic shunt and she will need surgery to repair.
Portosystemic shunt ligation is the procedure most commonly used for repairing congenital extra hepatic portosystemic shunts. These shunts occur in the blood vessels outside the liver.
She has had issues since I’ve had her at 9 weeks and it has been confirmed that she needs surgery. The surgery is costing approximately 8,000 and my insurance will cover some it but unfortunately not all and I've already spent 1,000 on vet bills to get to this point. If you could help me in any way would be great and by donating anything small would be really appreciated.
I want lulu to have a happy healthy life, she has not had the best start but I’m hoping that can be changed.
