My brother was a good mechanic..knows a lot about cars..but didn't make a lot of money at it. He just couldn't charge people a bunch of money for things that only took a few minutes to fix. If he knew folks were having hard times, he wouldn't charge them at all. More than once he came to my rescue and still today, although he can't physically work on a car, he can surely help figure out what is wrong.
Diabetes runs in our family. And Kevin seems to have a double dose. It has slowly taken away many of the things he loves. But it hasn't touched who he is. He has and continues to face these challenges with courage and the everlasting Kevin Mahoney humor.
I realize for most of us, times are tough. He is BLESSED with your continued friendship and generosity. If you can, would you please help a little bit more? Kevin had his right leg amputated two months ago due to his diabetes. Something he feared but faced. Although he may not walk the way he once did, a prosthetic leg will assist him in many of the simple things we take for granted daily. Moving from his bed to his scooter, using the restroom, standing for even a short period. Things we don't even think about.
His co-payment for this prosthetic device is over $1200.00. Not something he can afford. If you can, would you please help Kevin? If he's given you a hand, will you help him get a leg? I know that was bad...but I'm not as funny as he is.. Thank you from the bottom of my ♥, Kathleen Mahoney Rand
