Flood relief for Linaia and Dillon
Donation protected
Hi. Our names are Shandi, Carol, and Audra. We are raising funds for our friends Linaia and Dillon. On June 10th, they were victims of a flash flood in Arkansas. They had to escape out of the window with a bag or two and their baby. They were taken to Walmart by a patrolman so they could get a carseat to get safely to family to figure out the next steps.
Thankfully, Linaia and Dillon and baby got out safely. Thankfully their other son was on vacation with his dad. Thankfully they had a place to go in the moment. Thankfully they had flood insurance.
Now, the hard part is starting. The going through the belongings and cars that have been under 2 feet of water. Finding what things are total losses. Working with insurance companies and learning how little is actually covered. Replacing vehicles. Cleaning and rebuilding everything in the home at least 4 feet up. Replacing all of their furniture and clothes and toys. Replacing their technology. Seeing what photo memories were backed up so they can reprint. Working through the grief of losing so much.
Linaia and Dillon are incredible people. They are known for dropping everything and coming to help others who have a need. They have had trial after trial after trial come in their path. It is important to us to raise funds to help offset some of the expenses that will not be covered by their insurance.
Funds will be used to help ensure that the kids have safe and well-fitting carseats in their vehicles. Funds will be used to offset living expenses while they rebuild. They will be used to help cover the deductible. Funds will be used to help Dillon replace some tools for work so they have income. They will be used to ensure that the kids have clean clothing and safe toys and gear. Please give generously and share. There are many expenses that we know will pop up that we can't even imagine at this point. It would be incredible to exceed our goal.
