Help Me Get Something Off My Chest

Donation protected
Hi!
First off, Thank you for checking out my donation page. I'm fundraising so I can have a much-needed double mastectomy (or top surgery as the kids these days call it)
Without insurance, and with most surgeons not taking any insurance anyways, I'm looking at an $18,000 procedure.

Facing a major surgery with a long recovery time, I've learned I need to ask for help.

If my youtube or twitch channels brought you here, thank you for checking out my page. You may know me from some of the cool jobs I've had in the past, but I would like to be 100% transparent about these costs, why I need surgery, and tell you a bit more about me.

My name is Daniel, I came out publicly as a trans-guy over a year ago and I have been on testosterone for 1 year and 3 months. My job is pretty cool, I love it, and I love to be able to double for kids in movies and tv shows! Unfortunately though, working in a non-union state like Georgia, most of the jobs pay slightly better than minimum wage. My work can be very physically demanding at times, sometimes consisting of 15+ hr days on set. As a private contractor, I also have no benefits or health insurance.

Currently, I wear a binder so that I can work, unfortunately, you are only supposed to bind your chest for 8hrs at a time. Working these long hours has led to bruised ribs, water in my lungs, and chest infections. Just trying to continue my work and transition at the same time. I really need to get this surgery. Unfortunately, since this is a major surgery with a long recovery time, I've been told I won't be able to work such a physically demanding job for up to 3 months after surgery. So, while I am looking for other jobs I can do after surgery, all this just made me realize, I can't do this on my own.

I don't expect to fundraise the entire cost of surgery-

I'm hoping to raise some, get a loan for some, and save some myself. Every dollar counts and would also help me qualify for a better loan, so I really appreciate any help.

I'm going to auction off all my cool stuff-
I am also going to be auctioning off some crew gifts, props, and other things from my private collection and work over the years over on eBay. I have some one-of-a-kind memorabilia I will be listing so while these items are special to me, I'm hoping selling these will help me meet my goal! The link will be added to my linktree at the bottom.

Transparency means a lot to me-

I want to be transparent that this is all for medical bills and the funds will only be used for my surgery. I will continue to update this page with bills, paperwork, ect. so that you know exactly where everything is going. While lodging, travel, and time off work is factored into my overall cost, I am only raising money for medical bills which I will have paperwork for. I have always chosen to raise money and have charity streams for non-profits like Extra Life and St. Judes in the past because of their transparency, so I would like to extend the same courtesy to anyone who donates to me.

Cost Breakdown-
$1,000 deposit - This goes to my surgeon to book a surgery date.
$12,000 Surgeons fees- pre/post op appointments, surgeon himself, and his staff
$300 biopsy, they legally have to test for breast cancer first
$479 pre-op physical and bloodwork to be cleared for surgery
$100 Surgery clearance letter from my therapist
$2000 for lodging, I have to travel to Florida and stay for monitoring for 8/9 days
$3,000 Hospital fees, supplies, anesthesiologist, operating room
$500 Flight for a caregiver to come and stay with me (I will be driving myself there and my travel has not been factored into this yet, tho shouldn't be a lot)
$2.9% GoFundMe fee, whatever I raise, they get 2.9%
(also the estimate of hospital fees is a rough estimate from my surgeon, I can show the actual bill after I get it)

All this, roughly a little over 18k, + 3 months out of work, YIKES!

I know this is a lot of money. I would be so lucky to even raise half of it, so thank you so much!

I know times are tough for everyone so please do not feel obligated to donate, as I would appreciate any positive vibes, comments, hanging out with me during live streams, and please share this link and my story if you can!
