Hi, I’m Caitlyn, and I’m building something that could change lives.
In many parts of rural Cambodia, children grow up with limited access to technology, digital education — or even electricity. But what if we could bring the future directly to them?
That’s the mission of Techon — a mobile learning bus equipped with laptops, internet access, and Khmer-translated educational tools designed to teach kids about digital literacy, technology, and the basics of artificial intelligence (AI).
We’re raising AUD $7,500 to fund a 1-week pilot journey, where Techon will travel to rural communities, bringing meaningful access to education and opportunity — right where it’s needed most.
✨ And if this first week is successful, we plan to expand the project and continue delivering digital education to even more children across Cambodia.
What We’re Building
We’re converting a 20-seat bus into a mobile classroom on wheels, equipped with:
Laptops for children to learn and explore
Khmer-friendly online and offline tech courses
Caring mentors and trained local facilitators
Lessons about AI, coding, and practical digital skills
Why It Matters
This project isn’t just about devices — it’s about equal opportunity.
These children are growing up in a digital world, yet without access, they’re already at a disadvantage. With your help, we can bridge the digital divide, empower them with real-world skills, and plant the seeds for future engineers, creators, and changemakers.
Where Your Donations Will Go
Your support helps fund the full 1-week journey. Here’s how the AUD $7,500 will be used:
Bus Rental & Setup ($1,200–$1,800)
Transforming a 20-seat vehicle into a safe and functional mobile classroom.
✈️ Driver & Assistant ($300–$450)
A local team to operate the bus and assist children at each stop.
⛽ Fuel for Travel ($300–$375)
To reach multiple villages, traveling 6–8 hours per day.
20 Laptops ($2,250–$3,000)
Refurbished devices for children to access lessons and tools.
Solar Power or Generator ($600–$900)
An off-grid energy solution to keep everything running.
Wi-Fi Router + SIM ($150)
For online and preloaded educational content.
Local Facilitator / Tech Guide ($150–$225)
A Khmer-speaking teacher or helper for guidance and support.
Seating & Tables ($450–$600)
Portable desks and chairs for a structured learning space.
Learning Materials & USBs ($150)
Handouts, offline content, and digital backups.
Translation Support ($300–$600)
Khmer-language translations of tech lessons and optional live translation during sessions.
Snacks & Water ($100–$150)
Light refreshments to keep children focused and comfortable.
Emergency / Buffer Fund ($450)
For any last-minute equipment, fuel, or repair needs.
What Your Donation Can Do
Every contribution — big or small — brings us closer to making this vision real:
AUD $30 — Translate one full AI or coding lesson into Khmer
AUD $75 — Power internet and device charging for one full day
AUD $150 — Provide one child with their first learning laptop
AUD $300 — Fund a day of local facilitation and translation for 20 children
AUD $500+ — Sponsor one entire day of mobile education for a full village
Why This Matters
Most children in these rural communities have never touched a laptop. Some don’t even have electricity at home. But with your help, we can bring technology — and hope — straight to their door.
This isn’t just about teaching tech. It’s about dignity, access, and opening doors.
Be a Founding Supporter
We’re starting from zero — and that’s exactly why your help means everything.
If you’re reading this, you have the chance to be one of the very first people to support something powerful and lasting.
Be Part of the Change
We’re starting small, but we dream big. If this pilot week goes well, we aim to continue expanding the project across more villages and reach hundreds — even thousands — of children in the years to come.
Please donate, share, and help us roll out the Techon mobile classroom by November 2025.
✨ Let’s drive the future, together.
With gratitude,
Caitlyn
