Eric lost the feeling from his belly button down suddenly in the early morning on Oct 1st. We went to the ER, and he was admitted to Mercy Hospital later that afternoon. After running a bunch of tests, the cause was still undetermined, and he was transferred to the University of Iowa Hospitals on Friday, October 3rd. After running more tests, they are still unsure of what happened or why. They are leaning towards a spinal cord stroke as he hasn't had any changes after treatments. Either way, he will have to go to an inpatient rehabilitation facility to learn how to walk again on his own and regain all the strength back. Hopefully, he will also get some feeling back eventually as well, but there is no guarantee he will get anything back, including strength to walk.

With driving back and forth to Iowa City with parking, having 4 children, medical costs, and down to 1 income for at least a few months, any funds donated and prayers sent would be greatly appreciated in this uncertain time in our family!
