What is Speed The light?
The concept is simple: we give so others can speed the light of the gospel to a world in darkness. This is accomplished by providing the "essential transportation and creative communication" equipment for missionary evangelism.
100% of the money raised for this event will be given to Speed the Light, an Assemblies of God missions orginization dedicated to equiping missionaries around the world with the necassary tools to "speed the light of the Gospel." They provide things like vehicles, sound equipment, and they have even purchased a donkey to help a missionary reach a remote village! Every dolloar given to Speed the Light gives two people to hear the Gospel! If we raise $13,000, we are helping spread the light of Christ to 26,000 people!
Last year there was a group of us that committed to running the Indy-Mini Marathon to raise support for this awesome organization. Unfortunately, due to COVID, we were unable to complete this last year and this year we were hoping to compete down in Indy in May. Once again we were told that this year's race was canceled due to COVID restrictions. However that is not going to stop us this year!!!!
On Saturday, May 15th, Mark, Hawk, Miranda and Abigail will be running 13.1 miles to raise money Speed the Light. We invite you to join us by giving today
