Hunt Family Benefit in Memory of Jerry Butch Hunt

Our Beloved Jerry (Butch) Hunt passed away on August 7th after a long and valiant fight against cancer.  Jerry grew up in the Bronx as a parishioner and student of St. Philip Neri. He and his wife, Sarah, later moved to the wonderful community of Tappan in Rockland County to raise their family.  Jerry was an NYPD sergeant, and more recently worked for the MTA, before his illness prevented him from continuing to work.  Jerry had a passion for life and loved his family and friends more than words can express. He has left a void in our hearts and  lives but we are so blessed to have shared his life with him. 

Jerry left behind his loving wife of 25 years, Sarah (Ernau) and four adored children: Miah (20), Julia (18), Liam (15) and Ronan (11).  The Hunt family is surrounded by many loved ones and are working through this difficult time with the support of many caring family members and friends.  

Sarah and her children are dealing with their loss with strength and love for one another.  Sarah’s strength knows no bounds. She even supports others who are in pain from their loss of Jerry. The kids are managing their busy lives and working so hard in school, but the loss of their beloved father is never far away. 

Many of the family’s loved ones and friends have reached out regarding a way to assist the family in this time of financial need.   We are asking for your support to help The Hunt Family as they work to manage their extensive financial obligations that have accumulated and will continue to do so as a result of Jerry's illness and loss.    Many people have already been so generous and your acts of kindness are appreciated beyond words.

Sarah and Jerry have always given so much of themselves to others and we hope that this fundraiser will be our way of giving something back to them. Thank you so much for any support and for your prayers and love for the family. It will make such a meaningful difference to the Hunt family.
