Let's Give Back to MPAK
Tax deductible
So many of us have asked what can we personally do to help ensure Korean children grow up in a family and not in an orphanage. The answer is, we can all join in helping Mission to Promote Adoption in Korea (http://www.mpak.com/) do what they do best, advocate for adoption and provide support for adoptive families. Let's join our efforts in raising funds so MPAK can direct funding toward some much needed items. Our goal of $50,000 will be used by MPAK to support the following:
1. To help MPAK continue their efforts of advocating on behalf of adoptive families and children.
2. To help improve the MPAK-Korea website that desperately needs to be updated.
3. To help MPAK's annual event to promote domestic adoption in Korea. This year the Korean government stopped funding this event.
As a Nonprofit 501 (c)(3) organization, MPAK's mission is to promote adoption in Korea, bring about positive changes to the Korean adoption culture and to advocate the needs of homeless children to have permanent homes of their own. MPAK was established in April 1999 in the US by Steve Morrison, an adoptee who lived in an orphanage in Korea for eight years before being adopted at age 14 by the Morrison family in the US. MPAK was expanded to Korea in November 1999. Currently there are 28 regional MPAK support groups spread throughout Korea, and six in the US (LA, Valley, OC, NY/NJ, San Diego, and Georgia). For more information please find us on Facebook or our blog at http://mpakusa.blogspot.com/. MPAK is a 501(c)(3) and all donations are 100% tax deductible.
