Hi, I'm Alicia Cacciotti, and I'm creating this GoFundMe campaign for my incredible Mom, Cindy Wilson.

My Mom was recently diagnosed with triple negative, invasive ductal carcinoma (breast cancer). As we begin this challenging journey together, we're reaching out for financial support during this difficult time.

About My Mom:

If you know my Mom, you know what a remarkable person she is. As a single mother, she has always worked tirelessly, balancing three jobs seven days a week at the Darien Town Hall (13 years), Darien YMCA (5 years), and Tully Center in Stamford (1 and a half years). She's known throughout our community for her warm smile, genuine kindness, and selfless nature. Everyone I meet tells me how much her caring spirit has touched their lives.

Our Current Situation:

My Mom now faces an intensive treatment plan including chemotherapy for 4 months, surgery in September, radiation, and numerous medical appointments. She had a port placed in her chest yesterday (May 20th) and began chemotherapy today (May 21st).

This journey will require her to take medical leave. Unfortunately, she doesn't have enough accrued paid time off, which means a significant portion of her recovery will be unpaid, creating an overwhelming financial burden.

How Your Support Will Help:

Any contribution, regardless of how much, will go directly toward:

-Medical expenses

-Essential household bills and living expenses

-Allowing her to focus fully on healing rather than financial concerns

Knowing my Mom, she'll try to return to work sooner than medically advised. Your support would give her the gift of time, time to heal properly without the stress of mounting bills.

My Mom would probably be embarrassed that I'm sharing her story publicly, as she's never been one to ask for help. Now, I'm humbly asking our community to help her when she needs it the most.
