Most of us know Ajay Krishna (25) as a very hardworking, diligent and ambitious youngster. A Software Engineer by profession, Ajay came to the US earlier this year on a work visa and is currently employed at LG Ads Solutions, Mountain View. Like most of the young migrants, Ajay doesn’t have his family or extended family in the US, except a cousin nearly his age.

Ajay usually rides his bicycle to the train (light rail) station, carries it on the train and then rides it to work. On the evening of October 18th, on the way back home, in an unfortunate incident, Ajay got hit by the light rail and got multiple injuries on his left side. The investigation officer is still investigating the case and hence unable to share more details. Ajay was admitted to Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San Jose. He remains placed in the hospital's Trauma Intensive Care Unit and is under 24X7 observation. Ajay needs to undergo a series of surgeries on his left side. He underwent the first round of procedures yesterday (October 20th), and his condition is extremely critical. Please find the certificate from the hospital attached herewith. Ajay will need to be in recovery for at least six months, perhaps a year.

While Ajay has decent insurance coverage under the employer’s insurance plan, at this juncture, we do not have any visibility into the procedures he may need to get back to routine life. Please help us raise funds for Ajay to cover procedures that insurance may not cover, his post-op expenses and his parent’s travel and accommodation in the states.
