Hi, my name is Ashley, and I am writing this with a very sad and heavy heart.

My mother, Lesley Prentice-Dale-Ablett, sadly passed away on 4th January 2026. She was completely alone, and none of us knew this was going to happen.

As her only child, I feel lost and truly heartbroken, and I am struggling to understand how to deal with this situation.

I have created this GoFundMe for my mother—my rock and my go-to for any problems—after finding out that she had no funeral plans in place and no money at all.

I don’t like to ask for help, but I am kindly asking for donations towards these costs so I can give my mum the send-off she truly deserves, for all the love and help she gave to everyone over the years.

The money raised will go towards paying for her cremation and a celebration of her life. I also wish to be able to scatter her ashes at Skegness Beach with her mother, so they can finally be together. If possible, I would like to keep a small amount of her ashes to have made into a beautiful piece of jewellery that I can cherish and, when I am older, pass down to my little boy, Noah. He misses his Nanna so much and finds it hard seeing his daddy so upset and heartbroken.
