WWII Veteran Jack Stanton Needs Our Help

I am David Bronder, an American veteran of the war in Afghanistan. At VFW Post 10249, we want to start a GoFundMe request for one of the greatest generation, our dear friend and fellow VFW member, Mr. John J. "Jack" Stanton, a 102-year-old Army veteran of World War II, recipient of the Silver Star, 2 Bronze Stars, and the Purple Heart. Jack lives in Thailand, and he is now on the ropes. His spouse needs financial assistance because Medicare will not cover his costs in Thailand. The VA only covers war-related injuries. Since 2020, Jack has had to spend over $100,000 of his own savings for conditions that are not war-related.

Jack's good friend, Mr. James Lopes, has written the White House about Jack's situation. They did respond, but nothing has happened yet. Many of the brothers at Post 10249 are getting involved in this effort.

Let's help put Jack's mind at ease and make life easier for his spouse. At the moment, Jack is under treatment in Nong Kai, Thailand.
