Funeral Fund for WWII Veteran Carl Flinner
Donation protected
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our WWII Airborne Hero, Carl Flinner, who made his final jump on October 8th, 2023.
Clinton "Carl" Flinner, Jr. entered the U.S. Army in January 1942. He was part of the 11th Airborne, 127th Airborne Engineer Battalion in the Pacific during WWII. Prior to his deployment, he attended parachute and demolition school in Fort Benning, GA. From there, he was in the New Guinea, Leyte, Luzon, and Southern Philippines campaigns. After the war, his company stayed in Japan to rebuild its roads and infrastructure. He held the rank of sergeant upon his separation from the Army.
We're reaching out to ask for your support during this difficult time. Unfortunately, the financial burden of Carl's funeral is overwhelming for the family at this time as they are simultaneously dealing with the death of another family member this same week.
Due to Carl's honorable service in the U.S. Army, he will be buried at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. While this thankfully reduces many of the costs of a funeral, expenses still exist.
We're seeking your generosity to ensure Carl receive's the honorable and dignified send-off he deserves, and to allow the family time to grieve and not be consumed with financial burdens.
Please join us in honoring Carl's memory and showing support for a true American hero.
Funeral Services will be announced shortly and updated here to those who would like to pay their respects.
