On Sept 28, 2022, Prince Owusu was serving his community doing road repairs and was involved in a tragic on the job accident which unfortunately cost his life. Prince did not go to work to lose his life. He went to work to provide. In the wake of this he leaves behind by two wonderful children, a son who is 12, and a daughter that is 7. These children now face insurmountable odds. Prince was a man dedicated to his family, friends, and dedicated to the people he worked for. His hard work and loyalty to his family will forever be remembered and appreciated by all the people he has come to know. Even if for a brief moment. For his children, Prince lead by example.
Sometimes we take for granted when we get into our cars/trucks/motorcycles, new or old, rusty or fancy, or using the streets for commerce, driving to the next job or shopping centre, that asphalt pavers get up before their children do and so often get home after they have gone to sleep, most days watching the sun go down from the job sites. All so we can operate our vehicles on safe smooth asphalt. But someone’s father works here. Being on the road is dangerous, and to accept the kind of risk to be a road builder, to endure long hours, excruciating weather elements, and the absence of loved ones during the day is a difficult choice to make. This sacrifice Prince made to ensure his children's future must be held up and we are reaching out to the community to help achieve a sustainable path forward for his family. These are all on the list they will need help with. We want to thank you for taking a portion of your hard work to help this family in need. All proceeds go to the family and more details of the funeral dates will be released as we get more information.
