This is our sweet Sadie. We adopted Sadie from the Humane Society last winter at four months old. Where we learned that she had a rough start to her life being raised on a puppy mill. Sadie was so a scared of everything. With a lot of love and trauma work from her new family, Sadie slowly came out of her shell. It took her three months to feel safe enough to leave just one room (with the help of some chicken as a treat). She started to come to us for blueberries too and eventually she got brave enough to go on walks outside.

Then just as she started to explore, meet friends on her walks, we noticed that her little ankle started to grow at an angle. So we went and got it checked out.

After we went to specialists and surgeons, they informed us that Sadie has an angular deformity and they have quoted us between 10-13k for the surgeries & tests involved. Thankfully, we do have pet insurance, but it won't cover it all. Only a portion of what she needs as it exceeds what they cover. She's barely a year old and has another year to continue to grow. It can cause more damage if it is left as it is in her shoulders. She really needs help in getting her ability back to being a puppy running at the dog parks, hiking tails, and even being able to get zoomies without fear of her completely loosing her mobility.
