My name is Donna Matchett, I have been a life long resident of Colorado. I have three children and 7 grandchildren. I am a hard working resourceful woman, but I have come up against the most difficult challenge of my life.
I need your help with this challenge. I am a current patient with COPD ( chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) with only 15% of lung capacity. Needless to say that makes it very difficult for me to breath. Even the smallest of tasks leave me exhausted and out of breath. I am very fortunate that I have been accepted to the lung transplant list with the Norton Thoracic Institute at Dignity Health St.Joesph Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. With the acceptance I must relocate to Phoenix and live an hour from the hospital. I am also required to have a caregiver with me at all times. My sisters Greta McDonald and Gloria Landis have stepped up to be my caretakers. They also have to relocate to Phoenix. My stay here in Phoenix could be anywhere from 6 months to a year. While I am here I have rented a small trailer for $1,600.00 dollars a month, plus groceries and travel back and forth to the hospital.
I will need donations to offset funds for living expenses, medical expenses and anti-rejection drug therapy. The drug therapy is very expensive and I will have to take the drugs for the rest of my life.
I am a fighter and want to survive this challenge and have the opportunity to spend more time with my family. Any donation would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your donation and your continued prayers.
