My wonderful Southern Gentleman of a husband, William “Darrell” Parkin, at only 51 years of age was diagnosed with STAGE IV GASTRIC CANCER that had metastasized throughout his liver on 5/13/13 after a routine colonoscopy. He served in the Air Force and retired after 20 years of service. Our family moved to Phoenix Arizona to be close to Darrell’s family in August 2014. I was unable to gain employment due to caring for my husband and all the multiple doctor appointments and hospitalizations that kept us busy.  After a courageous battle that he fought for the past 2 years, he went to be with our precious Lord on June 11, 2015.  Instead of flowers, please join us in contributing to Hospice of the Valley, cancer research and the remaining medical bills.
