Sometimes, more often than not, our precious cockers come into some really difficult times. Our sweet, 7 year old Max, is one of those dogs.
Max was adopted from a breeder, to someone that could not take care of him. He was then given to a woman, who several years later came on hard times, lost her job, was on the brink of becoming homeless and could no longer provide a home for Max. A Good Samaritan took Max and was committed to taking care of him, until he could find a loving home for him. NorCal agreed to bring Max into our family and this kind man agreed to foster him.
Unfortunately, recently the foster Dad was driving home, with Max in the car, he pulled in his driveway and Max was so excited to be home that he jumped out the car window, breaking the femur in his leg.
Close to $8,000.00 later, Max is back at home, after two nights in the hospital, where he needed to have a plate placed in his leg. He is resting comfortably and we are told he is going to be okay.
This is where all our faithful followers come in. We could sure use some help with Max's medical bills. Please donate what you feel you can. We continue to appreciate your love and generosity for our beloved cockers.
