Field Studies in Hawaii
Donation protected

I am very excited to announce that I will be doing field studies in Hawaii, where I will be able to further my education in Biology as well as help tremendously with my career. I will be able to actually experience and see everything that I've been learning so far. For two weeks, I will go to the islands of Oahu, Hawaii, and Kauai, and these three beautiful islands will serve as my outdoor labratory complete with mysteries of beauty, endemism and extinction. Not only will I be experiencing an opportunity of a lifetime, but I am also getting college credit for it as well, 16 hours. I will be studying Botany, Environmental Biology, Earth Science and Photography.
Of course the expense is unimaginable but with the support of friends and family I would greatly appreciate the help. My student expenses will be around $1500, airfare $1100, and tuition $832. So approximately $4000.
Again, this is not just a vacation or quick way to knock out a few classes. This opportunity means so much to me because of my career and aspirations of Veterinary Medicine. Science is not an easy thing to understand in words, the actual hands on learning is what does wonders. Hawaii is a perfect place for me to begin this journey and every little bit helps! The amount of gratitude is infinite.
