TODAY WOULD HAVE BEEN MOMS 65th BIRTHDAY!

In honor of her birthday, I wanna do something fun in this dark moment!

When I had asked mom what her dreams were, take make sure I could help fulfill them, I asked her like where did she wanna go or visit or do.

She said… “It’s not about what I want to do, but what I want to do with the kids. Aunt Mary would take us on trips and do stuff with us, and I wanna do that with the kids. I want to see them experience stuff and do stuff with them.”

So I wanted to make that dream come true, this year Zach and I bought flights for Mom, Dad and the 3 grandkids to come down to Florida and experience Walt Disney World… for the kids FIRST VISIT!

Well it’s very sad that mom won’t be physically joining, but hoping she will be here in spirit. Mom only had to pay for luggage and dining (food).

I know it’s the holiday season, and truly I wish I wasn’t asking for help. But wanted to give it a try. My mother, Valerie Conway, on Thursday December 18th went to the doctors for bronchitis, was injected with steroid and antibiotic. Due to her being diabetic, the steroid made her blood pressure reach 790, causing her heart to STOP! They administered CPR which saved her life. Currently she is in the hospital in a medically induced coma. They have ruled out that it was not a heart attack nor a clot in her lungs. They are concerned about brain damage. She is still not awake. They did get her blood sugar lowered and she’s starting to breathe a little on her own, but currently on a breathing machine.

This is the scariest thing in my life, my mom means the world to me. She works full time, even though she can retire, sometimes 60 hours or more. She provides for my father and my 2 nephews and niece. She was already struggling financially, and was behind on house payments.

With her being hospitalized and not working. I don’t want her to keep falling behind. This money would help with hospital bills, money to cover bills and rent, and provide food for my mom, dad, and my niece and nephews.

I know it’s the holidays and money is stretched thin, but any help would be appreciated, I just want my mom to come home for Christmas. This is her favorite holiday, and I’m hoping we can come together and help bless this woman who has done so much for others and is so selfless.

I love and appreciate anyone who can donate and help my mother and family, thank you and I hope you have a Merry Christmas. Remember to hug your mom extra tight and always tell her how much you love them!

UPDATE:

Today, 23rd, we will be saying goodbye to my mother. Unfortunately, the damage done to her brain is not reversible. The cellular death wouldn’t be able to recover. So we will have to take her off support today. I want to thank everyone who has, and who continues to donate, these costs will go towards any funeral expenses, bills and rent needed to be covered, food cost for my family, and any other needs.
