Help for Chloe !

Chloe is an amazing 10 year old dog! She has been the furbaby to Babs and her late husband Dave since Chloe was 5 months old. Chloe was 5 months old when they adopted her from a shelter and she became Dave's support dog as he fell ill and is now Babs suport dog as she is widowed.

On June 2nd Chloe was being a typical dog on and chasing the squirels when She ran out of the house chasing a squirrel. (The squirrel would sit on the fence teasing her most days). She had a misshap and hurt her back. When Chloe came back into the house she was dragging her hind legs. Babs noticed immediately that Chloe seemed to be paralyzed from her mid back and her back legs were not moving.

They rushed Chloe to the emergency vet where they assesed her and refered them to a neurlogist. Blood tests, MRI and Xrays were done and from the results it was determined that the best option was to have spinal surgery the next day. Doctors said the surgery has a 90% success rate. Surgery was performed on June 8th.

Chloe is now home resting but there is not much change yet. The doctor says they should hopefully see improvments in the next 6 weeks.

We are all hoping and praying for a full recovery however Babs is now over $15K in debt and increasing each time she has to take her furbaby for a followup appointment.

Babs is a widowed, retired senior and Chloe is her main love in life right now.

They had a routine of at least 3 walks a day, road trips and overall spoiled doggy. Babs is so stressed and worried about Chloes health, our hope is to help with the financial burdon so she can focus on the medical and emotional part of this situation.
