My sister Gloria Contino has lived, served and is a third generation Port Washington family for 68 years. Most recently she has worked as a nanny and private chef for Port Washington families.
After struggling with stomach problems for 9 months, on July 16th 2021 after experiencing difficulties from COVID we received the extremely sad news that she is diagnosed with inoperable colon cancer.
Gloria with no previous notice was rushed to the hospital to undergo surgery and has started chemotherapy this past Thursday.
Gloria and her parents served the town of PortWashington through Contino Catering for 50 years employing and catering for our residents.
At this time Gloria is facing significant financial struggles as she is unable to work, has outstanding medical bills and is still responsible for rent.
Our current goal of $ will be used for:
$15,200 will be used for rent
$11,000 will be used for current deductibles and medical expenses
$3,800 will be used for living expenses as she is recovering.
Any help is greatly appreciated as Gloria and our family continues to fight through these difficult times.
