WV Sound Foundry - Preston Co Youth Music Program

Donation protected
The West Virginia Sound Foundry is a nonprofit Rock Studio for Kids. We are a music program in located in Masontown, West Virginia to benefit students from all socio-economic backgrounds. The WV Sound Foundry’s mission is to develop confidence and youth involvement in the community through music education in pop, rock, and county music performances. We have several performance venues to get the students out in front of live audiences to build their confidence. We also offer private lessons (onsite or remote) and open the doors to homeschool co-ops to provide quality music education. Upcoming programs will include music performance groups, storytelling workshops, songwriting workshops, summer camps, and audio/video editing classes.
My name is Josh Salisbury. I’m the executive director of the WV Sound Foundry and a WVU alumni. I have 17 years experience teaching music in public schools and have been performing for over 30 years. I’ve had choirs perform in front of crowds at the WVU Coliseum with more than 10,000 people. The WV Sound Foundry is a way to give back to the community and help children grow, develop, and build valuable social skills.
We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization through the IRS. All donations are tax-deductible.
Please consider supporting our program to benefit students of Preston County and surrounding areas. We also accept gently used instruments to provide to students who can't afford their own. Help them find something to be proud of - themselves and their hard work!
