Supporting Local Animal Welfare & Rescue in Mysore
Donation protected
Dear Friends,
I'm Jelena Vesić. I am currently in Mysore, India, where I return annually to practice yoga with my teacher. While I'm here I dedicate my time and resources to helping on-the-ground, community oriented NGOs that provide care for street dogs and cats.
Grounded in a grassroots approach which brings together local rescue organizations with visiting yoga students from all around the world, we are asking you to support our efforts to help us:
- provide food and water on a daily basis;
- vaccinations (three rounds per dog);
- spay/neuter procedures including post-op care;
- medicine and treatments for any existing condition;
- and possibly finding future homes for the street dogs and cats of Mysore, India, locally or abroad;
- community outreach here in Mysore.
It cannot be emphasized enough that the funds raised will help with providing essential and, in many cases, life saving care for these beautiful creatures.
Specifically, we are collaborating with two local non-profit organizations - Paws & Om and Care for Animals Mysore . Our hope is to expand our network and partner with more and more organizations. In addition, we are focused on empowering and supporting local individuals who already provide care (i.e. food and water) to stray animals in need here in Mysore. We want this to be an ongoing campaign, rather than just a s seasonal project.
A little goes a long way - for the price of a coffee in Toronto an animal can be vaccinated. Please consider donating and sharing about our efforts.
Keep you posted!
With love from Mysore...
