I am fundraising for Sepsis UK in aid of my grandad who has managed to fight off these horrible infection 4 times.

He recently was admitted to hospital for the 4th time with this awful infection, and despite everything is fighting it off again. He is remarkable, but I was shocked at how little research there is into this, and how little work is done to prevent it from happening.

He is still in hospital, with very minimal answers as of yet. But he’s still pushing through. 

I have been looking into running the 1/2 marathon for a while, and when sepsis UK popped up with charity spaces, it was definitely a sign!! After running the Brighton Marathon in 2023, I am looking forward to enjoying this 1/2.

This is for you grandad. You’re a hero.
