I never thought I would be writing this to you today. Late 2017 my family received the devastating news that I had a rare cancer. I was diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumor which metastasized to my liver. I couldn’t believe it! It was a shock to my soul. I thought I was going to die and never grow old with my wife; children and I would never meet my grandkids. Naturally, as many in my position do, I put on my game face, promising that I would fight this diagnosis.



 We as a family have been on an overwhelming life-altering journey as I received surgery December 2017 to remove the abdominal tumor and the three lesions on my liver. After the initial surgery I bounced back and started over again.  Recently, I was hit with more devastating news,  I have another tumor on my liver and a mass on my small bowel, which will both need to be removed in addition to a bowel resection. 

 

I will be off work up to 6 months without pay. My wife will not be able to support me and our children on her salary alone. I am asking for the generosity and kindness of everyone to raise the vital funds to help support my family while I’m off work recouping from my surgery.
