Positive Greetings, My name is Mae Gay and I'm starting this fundraiser to help save myself, son and 9yr old grandson from being evicted. On April 26th I was served an eviction notice for non-payment of rent. I had assigned and trusted someone to care for my bills but they did not pay my rent since October 2022. I was recently diagnosed as legally blind shortly before the pandemic of 2020 and had to retire from working due to my loss of sight. I'm unable to work and currently share my household with my only son who goes to dialysis 3xs a week and is also out of work as well as my 9 yr old grandson. My son and I both recieve social security benefits monthly but that's not enough to help us in catching up on payments. We have nowhere to go if we lose this apartment we will lose everything I've worked hard for and be homeless. I had 11,000 dollars that I recieved as a blessing through my hardships but this has left me completely bankrupt when I had the money to take care of myself and my family. I don't know what else to do but to tuck away my pride and ask anyone and everyone for help. I owe the rental company 8,000 dollars or we could be evicted. There is no amount or donation to small. I'm a senior woman who recently lost about 70% of my vision. I always worked 2 jobs to take care of myself and family. Now I'm scared but I believe my God won't fail me this time either.
