Help Grace Fight Cancer

In late July 2022, our friend Grace Garwood, a seemingly healthy 38-year-old, went to the hospital with stomach pains. At first doctors thought it was Appendicitis but after several x-rays, they discovered spots on her liver and lungs, as well as a mass in her colon. Grace was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer.

Grace is a hardworking writer and amazing parent of her son Winston, 3, and an incredible partner to her husband Alex Meyers. Their family was already facing financial hardship for medical bills after Winston was hospitalized from COVID earlier in this year. This week, Grace begins cancer treatment at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, PA.

Grace, Alex and Winston have a long road ahead of them and will need our financial support. While they have insurance, the cost of cancer treatment can be upwards of $100,000. Beyond medical bills, Grace will need to take time off work for treatment. We’d like to lessen the burden of everyday expenses so she can spend as much time as possible with her family and save her energy for fighting cancer. All money raised will go directly to Grace, Alex and Winston.
