On Friday, April 25th, a neighbor’s fire consumed the life of Donna’s sweet baby, Hazel. Additionally, it put Donna out without anything.
Luckily, BCFD was able to wake Donna from her slumber and get her out of her apartment, but she is currently left with more than nothing. I say that because the heartache of losing her baby is more than she expected when she laid down for her nap.
The animal control officer that was there has graciously and amazingly offered his help with getting Hazel home to Donna, however there is still plenty that she needs.
Her medications, needles, hygiene products, clothes, linens, furniture, electronics, snacks and everything else has been ruined.
The very old motel she was put up in was not ADA compliant nor was it a comfortable place for her to be. With the help of a friend, we have relocated her to an ADA suite at Railroad Pass. We’re trying to keep her as comfortable as possible during these horrible times.
I am asking for any donations. It doesn’t have to be money. Anything worth donating to her can be dropped off to me or I can pick it up and get it to her, even meals - living in a hotel with nothing is unbearable!
Feel free to reach out to me directly!
